Successful Blood Drive

We want to thank everyone that came out to donate blood at our blood drive. We had a larger than expected number of people to donate, and United Blood Services was very excited about the turnout. We had a total of 29 donors. This summer we hope to have another successful blood drive, and in the future we may get our canine friends involved. Thank you again for taking the time to come out to do this, your contribution helps to save lives.

At right, Brendan is happy to be giving blood. Thank you Brendan, he was one of a few Thousand Hills Pet Resort employees to donate on Saturday.

We are moving forward into the new year and are excited for our first event of the new year. United Blood Services, Spencer’s Fresh Market, and Thousand Hills Pet Resort, are having a blood drive here at the Pet Resort. Come on by and bring your friends please sign up at this link or call (805) 543-4290. When you sign up you receive one free day of daycare, Spencer’s is providing Tri-Tip and we are going to BBQ. So stop on by and help save a life.

We will also be offering tours of the facility, and free day care. Don’t miss out on this opportunity!

Where did the cans go?

Just wanted to thank you and your clients again for the generous donation of canned goods that you donated to First Baptist Church of SLO for our annual Thanksgiving Food Box drive. This year, due in large part to your generous donations, we were able to provide 70 food boxes to needy families from Nipomo to Paso Robles. The boxes contained everything needed to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner as well as lots of additional staple items to prepare additional meals. The families chosen to receive the boxes were referred by Social Services, Child Welfare Services and Adult Services. Thanks again for your generosity.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Thousand Hills Pet Resort!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

I am excited to celebrate another Christmas here at Thousand Hills, and welcome in the New Year, and all that it will bring. I want to say thank you to every single person that has helped make this business a success. The staff and I want to say thank you for letting us take part in your family, this last year. I look forward to continuing to serve you and your best friends this upcoming year. I also want to thank you for serving our community through our toy and food drive.

This year we have had great success with our toy drive and canned food drive. We have delivered enough cans to help 60 families in the San Luis area. I am so thankful to everyone that contributed and made this possible. Toys for Tots has already picked up 2 boxes of toys from us and I know they will be picking up more. The last couple of years we have had the privilege to deliver some of the toys with Toys for Tots, to families in the area. And it is your contributions that make this possible! We look forward to seeing how many more families in the community we can help out this year. THANK YOU!

Halloween Party

The Halloween party was a great success and we are looking forward to next year. We had a lot of winners and some fun costumes. We had a Tu-Tu, Bumble bee, Zebra, Lobster, Ladybug, and several others.

Thousand Hills Halloween Party

Halloween Costume Contest

October 31st at 1:30pm

Halloween Party at Thousand Hills Pet ResortJoin us this year for our FREE Halloween Costume Party. We are hosting an awesome fun filled day for your family and friends. Bring your ‘best friends’ best costume and join us for hot dogs, contests, and prizes. Invite your friends and let’s have some fun. Festivities begin at 1:30pm on October 31st at our daycare park. Food throughout the day and prizes for best dressed, funniest, and cutest will be given out. Judging begins at 3pm, party ends 4pm.

Please bring your friends, they don’t need to be a Thousand Hills Customer, we just want them to have fun. There is no cost to enter the contest and the food is free. Please join us, our daycare doors open at 1:30pm. There will be a daycare attendant and judges to determine our contest winners.

Please RSVP by calling the office so we know how much food to make!

Rules:

  • Guest dogs must have proof of Rabies and Distemper Parvo vaccines that are current.
  • Records need to be approved before the pet is allowed into the facility.
  • Each pet has a chance to win one prize and will be voted on by 3 judges at 3pm.
  • Pets can be off leash and on leash, but must be social.
  • A day care attendant will be present during the entire party to ensure the safety of the animals.
  • We request that you respect their professional opinions on where your pet can be and with who.
  • All non-Thousand Hills Pet Resort participants will need to sign a contract to allow socializing at our facility.
